Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Appvior ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Cluster mobile application ("Cluster").
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Cluster, we may collect:
- Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive an account identifier from Apple. Apple may also share your name or email if you approve it during sign-in.
- Profile information: Handle, display name, avatar color, appearance preferences, and notification settings you choose in the app.
- App content: Tasks, crews, crew memberships, invites, shopping lists, shopping sessions, streaks, XP, and related activity you create or join.
- Device and local data: Cached app data stored on your device so Cluster works offline and loads quickly.
- Support communications: Information you send when contacting us by email.
- Diagnostics and analytics: Crash reports, performance data, and product analytics collected through Firebase Crashlytics and Mixpanel. This may include device model, operating system version, app version, crash stack traces, and usage events such as sign-in, task completion, and feature interactions. We do not use these tools to sell your personal information.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and sync Cluster across your devices
- Enable crew collaboration and shared shopping features
- Send local notifications you enable in the app
- Respond to support requests and protect the security of the service
- Measure app performance, diagnose crashes, and improve Cluster
- Understand how features are used so we can improve the product
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With crew members: When you join a crew, other members may see your profile fields and shared crew content.
- With service providers: We use Supabase for authentication, database hosting, and cloud sync; Google Firebase (Crashlytics and Remote Config) for crash reporting and app configuration; and Mixpanel for product analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
- For legal reasons: If required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy.
4. Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify associated cloud data as described on our account deletion page, subject to limited retention required for security, backups, or legal compliance.
5. Your choices
- Account deletion: Delete your account in the app or follow the steps on /delete-account.
- Device data: You can clear local cached data from Support & Legal in the app without deleting your cloud account.
- Notifications: Manage notification preferences in the app and in your device settings.
- Apple sign-in: You can revoke Cluster's access in your Apple ID settings.
6. Children's privacy
Cluster is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
7. International users
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. We take steps designed to protect your information consistent with this policy.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
